More information

Designed and produced by one of the finest slow mills in Italy, Bonotto, this 52% Cotton, 28% Polyester, 16% Viscose, 4% Elastane Jacquard is perfect for tailored jackets and pants. The unique design of the jacquard uses black and off-white yarns to create a distorted herringbone texture. The Slow Factory represents the manifesto against industrial standardisation and mass production at low cost. In Bonotto, all these processes are entrusted to mechanical machines with no automation rather than to electronic machines. Old, discarded, and neglected looms, precisely because they are “slow”. This brings us back, therefore, to the luxury of craftsmanship, to hand-made works and the savoir faire that best expresses the intrinsic Italian heritage of the Veneto countryside, a place dense with creativity and design. The quality of a fabric goes back to being synonymous with the length of time it takes to make it. The factory is no longer a geographical place with pre-fabricated walls but represents a territory with its histories and memories. A modern vision of work and enterprise, combined with old-fashioned technologies and an increasingly innovative creative design. Fabrics, like those of the past, long-lasting, that come from a different and more natural relationship between man and machine. Fabrics that are rich and precious, inside and out. The referral to art is constant and, in Bonotto, so strong that it radically changes the conventional organisational and production process rules. For decades the factory has hosted countless artists who have donated or specially created some of their works. The Fluxus movement, whose greatest collector and patron in Italy is, in fact, Luigi Bonotto II, almost involuntarily imposes on the company a soft operating logic, flexible and fluctuating, which makes work, first a cultural process and then a business. What came about through Fluxus has today been collected and is protected by the Bonotto Foundation, whose headquarters remains firmly located within the large production site in Molvena.

Applications: Perfect for tailored jackets and pants.

In 2002, Creative Director & Designer Lukas Vincent laid the foundation for a dynamic fashion consultancy business, Censered Studios. Specializing in Design, Visual Merchandising, Styling, and Creative Direction, he swiftly garnered recognition for his work with leading brands in Australia, New York, and Paris.

The year 2016 marked a significant milestone in Vincent’s career as he unveiled his critically acclaimed label, ex infinitas. His unique aesthetic, seamlessly blending elements of suburban surfer lifestyle with impeccable tailoring, garnered international media praise.

Vincent’s stellar career is punctuated by numerous accolades. Notably, he was nominated for several prestigious international awards, and he secured a historic win in 2016 by clinching the International Woolmark Prize, all before delivering his debut collection to the market. His ascent continued with the presentation of the GQ “Men of The Year” award for Australian Designer of The Year in 2017.

His undeniable talent was first recognized by Browns London, renowned for discovering emerging talents like Alexander McQueen and John Galliano. During the same year, Vincent cemented a direct partnership with the fashion powerhouse Farfetch.com.

The success of ex infinitas led Vincent to make his mark within the realm of luxury retailers, including United Arrows, Hankyu, H.Lorenzo, LN-CC, Eraldo, Penelope, Wrong Weather, Artifacts, 017, Koh’s Lick Curro, Nomad, Rail, D-Mop, Ne-Sense, and Traffic in LA, among others.

By 2018, Vincent achieved a historic feat by becoming only the second Australian Menswear designer in history to be invited by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode to showcase his collection as part of the official Paris Fashion Week schedule.

In the same year, Vogue Magazine extended an invitation to Vincent to present his final Fall/Winter 2019 ex infinitas collection to none other than the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue US, Anna Wintour, accompanied by Baz Luhrmann, during her inaugural Australian tour.
