If you’re a buyer on Circular Sourcing, setting your preferences is one of the best ways to make the most of the platform. Whether you’re sourcing for a capsule collection, made-to-order pieces, student projects or sampling runs, defining your needs upfront helps you find the right surplus faster.
This guide walks you through four simple steps to get started – and why they matter.
Step 1: Set Your Sourcing Preferences
Every buyer has different needs. You might be focused on low minimums, natural fibres, local stock or one-off gems for limited edition runs. By setting your preferences, you’ll:
- Allow us to curate fabrics that match your sourcing needs
- Get better, more personalised recommendations as new listings go live
- Help you make more confident and efficient sourcing decisions
Don’t worry, setting preferences won’t stop you from seeing all the fabrics available, but it will help us and you to narrow it down when you need to source.
In a few clicks, you can:
- Choose your preferred fibres and fabrications (e.g. linen, jersey, canvas)
- Indicate your project size to filter based on minimum order quantities
- Highlight your top sourcing priorities (e.g. Australian-milled, natural fibres only)
- Set a minimum and/or maximum price preference if this is important to you
- Save your profile so your dashboard reflects your sourcing style
Step 2: Add Favourites to Your Wishlist
Once your preferences are saved, it’s time to start building your Wishlist.
Think of it as your digital sourcing notebook or a future materials library. It helps you:
- Keep track of fabrics you’re considering
- Spot patterns in what you’re drawn to
- Revisit and compare options easily
