Chambray is a cotton plain-weave fabric made with a dyed warp yarn and a white filling yarn. Chambray is traditionally light blue in colour, but can be found in a wide range of fashion colours. While it may look like denim, chambray is lighter and is woven differently. It has a softer texture than denim and is thinner in construction.
use it for light summer wears such as shorts, skirts, tops and dresses, pants and shorts. Chambray is most frequently used for shirt fabric or button-down shirts that come with long sleeves and collars, so-called “Oxford” shirts.
This chambray is raw and can be washed to give a softer hand feel and differing colour variations.
